This is a list of suggested media to empower yourself, not just personal suggestions of things I like. I would add links for each item, but that would be naughty. Through the resources page and getting creative, I believe in you though. While this list of media is meant to serve on its own when experienced, I recommend researching and glancing at the "behind the scenes" and context of them. To understand and engage with all art, we must understand who made it, why it was made, how it was made, and when it was made, and under what geopolitical/socioeconomical conditions?

Subvert - A music worker cooperative. I include this in the "further reading" because if you relate this documentation/ideologies/methodologies on a scale of a neighborhood or even a state, you can accomplish so much. It is also a very tangible, realistic way of seeing "a better way", with methods that are currently legal and protected under systems you already know/understand.
